A collaborative mural celebrating the diversity, resilience, and imagination of Toronto’s Jane-Finch community. Inspired by the Pan-African principle of Sankofa and Afrofuturism

the mural explores music, community and togetherness, and culture and heritage through vibrant imagery, ancestral symbolism, Caribbean Carnival energy, African patterns, and futuristic elements.

Jamera was the lead artist on this project, and as one of three artists - contributed to the mural's culture and heritage theme. Incorporating visual elements that honour the diverse histories and cultural identities represented within Jane-Finch. The project was developed in collaboration with AstroSankofa Arts Initiatives.
