City of Belonging is a collaborative Afrofuturist and solarpunk vision of Toronto, exploring the city’s past, present, and future through Black history, community, and collective progress.

Natural elements, flowing water, ancestral roots, and futuristic technology intertwine with Toronto’s urban landscape, while a series of changemakers honours the Black community builders who have shaped the city. Created in collaboration with AstroSankofa Arts Initiatives, the campaign features six artists, each bringing one changemaker to life. Jamera served as the campaign designer and contributing artist, painting the portrait of Debbie Douglas.
